First Impressions of Costa Rica

I first came to Costa Rica on December 2011, i was visiting my older brother that lived here since 2010.Well... what can i tell you about Costa Rica...

Costa Rica looks a lot like Venezuela... have the same weather, well so far i can say that, maybe when i finish my first year here i will say its different, but something i can tell you for sure, is that the wind is very strong and the whole day is the same!!!! i cant go out without my sunglasses beacuse my eyes goes dry.

The geography, in San Jose is like Caracas, with a lot of mountains, well... a big diferrence is that here many of this mountains you see, are not mountains, their are VOLCANOS!!!!!! thats awesome!!! i loved that. It kinda give you a extreme way to live!

One of the most important things i have to talk about is... THE FOOD!!! well is kinda the same to the venezuelan, but the names are totally different!!!, for example in Venezuela we have the Pabellon Criollo, here is call Casado. The other day i was in Walmart and i saw a croissant, but the tag says Cangrejo, thats was weird, but is ok :) and another thing in Costa Rica they loved fried chicken, you can see fried chicken restaurant almost in every corner.

The only thing i still not getting use to is the language, ok ok ok is Spanish, but did you know thats Spanish is the most difficult language to talk??? one word can have different meanings depending of the country,  for example in Venezuela you call a "friend" a "pana", here is "mae", a straw is a "pajilla" and not a "pitillo" maybe "pitillo" is a bad word... sorry if it is!!!!!! : D.

OOHHH!!!! i almost forgot!! the tourism, Irazu and Poas Volcanos, amazing places to visit, after a short walk you can actually see the volcano's crater, and in Poas you can see the smoke coming out! Then we have Jaco is like Tucacas in Venezuela, but the town i a lot better. The sand in the beach is dark, almost black, i thinks its because of the volcanos. weel this is only the beginning i have a lot to see in this country, like Arenal, Manuel Antonio beach and many other things.

I cant deny i miss Home.... but Costa Rica seems to be a really good place to live!! i will keep you inform about how i'm doing this months to come.
